Costs

Notary fees are regulated uniformly throughout Germany by the Court and Notary Fees Act and are therefore the same for all notaries. In principle, notary fees are determined by the value of a legal transaction. In the case of a purchase agreement, the value is generally determined by the purchase price, whereas in the case of other legal transactions (e.g. wills or marriage contracts), the so-called net assets are generally decisive.

Notarial advice, including drafting work, is already included in the notarization fee. There are therefore no separate costs for this.

You can find sample calculations of notary fees on the Information portal of the Federal Chamber of Notaries.

On request, we will be happy to inform you in advance about the costs involved.
